For nearly 20 years, Pascal Cuisinier has been conducting research on the generation of the first French designers born between 1925 and 1930, who were also the great French interior architects of the Trente Glorieuses.
On the occasion of the publication of the book Design français 1950, la génération des jeunes loups, co-published with Flammarion, the Galerie Pascal Cuisinier is organizing a retrospective featuring a selection of major pieces presented in the book.
This exhibition showcases some of the iconic furniture, seating, and lighting from the 1950s, before mass design and industrial production replaced them in the eyes of the public. Here are some of the most exceptional and rare pieces—sometimes unique— designed by this generation of creators.
